Enoshima

I will introduce my hometown, Fujisawa. I think Fujisawa has a strong image of the sea. One famous place in Fujisawa is Enoshima. It is  walking distance from my house to Enoshima. It is very accessible because I can go there by train. Especially, I recommend going by Enoden. The retro station buildings and train  are very good.

     

Enoshima is a representative tourist destination of Shonan. There are various tourist attractions such as retro shopping districts, Enoshima Shrine, caves, Enoshima Sea Candle, Enoshima Island Spa and Enoshima Aquarium. In summer, there is an Enoshima Fireworks Festival, and in winter, illumination attractions are held. I can enjoy Enoshima in all season.

Also, New Year's Day, I go to Enoshima every year to see the sunrise. Many people come to Enoshima to see the first sunrise. I'm very proud to have Enoshima as my hometown. The view from the sea in Enoshima is very beautiful. I like driving and taking walks in Enoshima.

Enoshima Famous Food

  Last time, I introduced Enoshima Aquarium. Today, I will introduce the famous food of Enoshima. Enoshima is famous for shirasu, where shirasu fishing is popular, I can eat not only boiled shirasu but also fresh raw shirasu.  The famous restaurant where I can eat Shirasu-don is "Tobicho".  At Tobicho, they are particular about using only what they catch on that day. However, raw shirasu cannot be eaten from January to mid-March as fishing is prohibited.      Also, the shirasu used in Tobicho are mainly caught at fishing ports in Fujisawa, Katase and Kamakura in Shonan.  The head store of Tobicho is located in Enoshima. The reason why Tobicho is so popular is because of Shirasu-don is volume and impact. Tobicho is crowded with many people. If you are going to Tobicho in Enoshima, I recommend you make a reservation.

Enoshima Aquarium

Last time, I introduced Enoshima, a famous place in my hometown. Today, I will introduce Enoshima Aquarium, which is also famous in Enoshima. The Enoshima Aquarium is called the "Enosui ". It is located along Katase Nishihama Beach. Enoshima Aquarium is a sightseeing spot that many people visit. There are 26,000 animals of about 500 species on display in the aquarium. At Enoshima Aquarium, the dolphin show held every day at an outdoor stadium is the best attraction. I can  experience valuable contact with dolphins there. In addition, there is the largest water tank in Enoshima Aquarium called "Sagami Bay Large water tank".  I can see sharks, stingrays, and sardines. There is also an area where deep-sea fish and jellyfish are displayed, and it has a very fantastic atmosphere. In other areas, I can  see popular animals such as penguins, sea turtles, otters and capibara. I recommend it because it is a place to enjoy with    family, friends, and lovers.
